Booklets Available on Preventing FASD

Several booklets are available in English and Spanish for pregnant women, family members, and professionals:

  • How To Help Your Patients or Clients Be Alcohol-Free Mothers-To-Be (Como ayudar a sus pacientes o clientas a ser futuras madres que no toman.)
  • How To Have a Healthy Baby: Be an Alcohol-Free Mother-To-Be (Como tener un bebe saludable: Sea una futura madre que no toma.)
  • How To Help Your Family Member or Friend Be an Alcohol-Free Mother-To-Be: Tips for Women (Como ayudar a un miembro de la familia o amiga a ser una futura madre que no toma.)
  • How To Help Your Family Member or Friend Be an Alcohol-Free Mother-To-Be: Tips for Men (Como ayudar a un miembro de su familia o amiga a ser una futura madre que no toma.)

The booklets provide information on the dangers of alcohol use during pregnancy and ways to help pregnant women avoid alcohol. Booklets can be ordered from the National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information. Check their new Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders page for these and other materials.
