Building FASD State Systems: First-Ever Meeting Brings Together 49 States, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico

In May 2003, SAMHSA's FASD Center for Excellence convened the first-ever "Building FASD State Systems" meeting in Arlington, Virginia. Attendees came from 49 States, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. The meeting provided an unprecedented opportunity to network and share experiences in addressing FASD. Participants included FASD State coordinators and others from diverse areas such as public health, maternal and child health, mental health, substance abuse, and developmental disabilities.
